- 9 lasagna noodles
- 2 cups fresh spinach, chopped
- 15 ounces ricotta cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 egg
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil for greasing
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the Lasagna Noodles: Boil the lasagna noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Prepare the Spinach Filling: In a bowl, combine chopped spinach, ricotta cheese, egg, garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix well until combined.
- Assemble the Lasagna: Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of a greased baking dish. Layer 3 lasagna noodles, half of the spinach filling, a third of the mozzarella, and a layer of marinara sauce. Repeat the layers, finishing with noodles and marinara sauce on top. Sprinkle with remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
- Bake: Cover the dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Let it Rest: Allow the lasagna to rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
